Cannabis Stocks On The Rise | PA Legalization Push Gains Steam | TTB Powered By Dutchie

On our latest Trade To Black, host Shadd Dales and co-host Anthony Varrell break down the weekly performance on cannabis stocks plus policy reform—starting with big news out of Pennsylvania.

Trent Woloveck, Chief Strategy Officer at Jushi Holdings (OTCQX: JUSHF), joins us to discuss the bipartisan adult-use cannabis bill just filed in the Pennsylvania Senate. If passed, this could open the door to one of the largest new recreational cannabis markets in the U.S.—and institutional investors are watching closely. The framework includes private retail, record expungements, and reinvestment in communities impacted by prohibition. We dig into the bill’s structure and the political path ahead.

Next up, Sammy J from C21 Investments (CSE: CXXI) and Dan Ahrens from AdvisorShares ETF $MSOS (NYSE: MSOS) return to talk cannabis price action. After a sluggish stretch, MSOS is heating up—but what’s driving the move? Is this real momentum or another head fake?

We’ll also clear up investor concerns about Glass House Brands (OTC: GLASF) following Thursday’s news about ICE involvement at their licensed grow facility in California. While it raised eyebrows, this isn’t a direct federal strike on legal cannabis. More optics than substance—investors should stay calm.

📈 Cannabis reform and price momentum are finally aligning. Let’s get into what matters.

A politician just has to "slightly hint" (cannabis laws should be reviewed, they’ll say), and the pro cannabis voters will rabidly support him. So there is no political need to actually legalize cannabis when just talking about legalizing cannabis gets votes.

I live in Pennsylvania and I have my medical marijuana card. They have been trying to get adult use recreational cannabis since Tom Wolf was governor. It’s the stick up the ass conservative Republicans that don’t want to pass it so I’m not going to hold my breath until it actually passes I’ve seen as too many times before.

I’m to the right of Atilla the Hun, been Conservative voting for 40 years. Conservatism is LIMITED Govt, Individual Freedoms and Liberty. At a Minimum, This is a States Issue, NOT a Federal issue.

This industry is infested with corruption, all these fake imminent rumours by people supposedly in the know and cancellations for proceedings which were designed to move the stocks in both directions(IMO), lets hope it gets rescheduled soon.

  16. @StanMNdirt on August 6, 2025 at 2:48 pm

Substitute the word tomatoes everywhere the word cannabis is used. That illustrates the absurdity of attempting to cut off access to a plant and build an industry around it.

I was buying ten dollar “lids” in 1970 from a friend who would come around with a shopping bag full on payday. The current situation with cannabis is greed gone wild.

I have one question who’s gonna be able to have a cannabis business? Is going to just be rich people that can pay bunch of cash for a business permit? I hope not but it seems like that’s how it goes the rich get richer and the poor get screwed , I need to talk to my representatives about this I’m not against cannabis I just don’t want to be told I can’t have a cannabis business for whatever reason that’s not fair

You would think by now the Federal Government would of taken the not so Suttle hint when making Cannabis legal in their states on what the Majority of Citizens want.. in my State of Maine Gov Mills has out right Banned DEA From entering Maine as they were caught red handed creating fake issues with Legal Cannabis Dispenseries.

What’s the temperature July weekend on a Thursday? I stopped at McDonald’s to get something to eat through the drive-through then stop at Lee’s dispensary and they were busier than Taco Bell and McDonald’s put together.

Reposting this from the last video wherein Marc went HAM on Ben Kovler… and then saw his Glass House darling pick get raided by ICE.

    Appropriate defense of Ben Kovler:

    1. From the jump, Kovler’s been a vocal activist around the cruel treatment of cannabis users. So, to say he “hasn’t done anything for the cause” is more accurately stated as “he hasn’t wasted millions of dollars trying to influence politicians”. Smart business move.

    2. He’s right to badmouth other Operators. He’s run a steady, smart, profitable business that didn’t over expand, and actually PAID all of its taxes. The other MSOs are cutting financial corners and begging for tax handouts/refunds to make themselves look like they are good operators. That’s a dirty move on their part, and Ben’s just calling them out.

    3. He’s right to be mad about MSOS. His stock is 33% of the weight, and get’s penalized every time people dump the ETF due to the complete DOGWATER performance of the other 67% of the MSOs. His equity is being impaired which hampers his financing options. I personally love that it happened because I could pick up shares unfairly cheap, but it’s still deleterious to the business.

  29. @itonlyrrbutilikeit3787 on August 6, 2025 at 3:19 pm

Hundreds of companies selling Schedule 3 drugs are listed on US stock exchanges and have access to commercial banking needs, so while Safe would also help speed that process, don’t believe it’s a requirement for banking access or up listing.
