  7. @patsweeney4220 on September 4, 2025 at 3:48 pm

:/ when i started growing and didnt know what topping was, id get christmas trees 🌲 typically 1-2 oz. Then i learned to top, started growing flat canopies and immediately doubled or tripled my weights, then i learned to fim, and was the method of my heaviest plant yet. I cant imagine not fimming and training my plant. Cannabis ladies are kinky, liked to be cut, tied down, and bent over…. This man isnt giving them that good loving and its sad

  8. @rrrzw on September 4, 2025 at 3:48 pm

My dad said not to top them he said the bud would be smaller i didn’t believe him he’s 64 and has been growing for 40+ years i think being old dose teach you something how to learn but I been learning off YouTube i think I just need to ask my dad

  9. @TheHarvestNetwork on September 4, 2025 at 3:50 pm

What about getting top next to your plant?

  10. @DaveMicheal-y5b on September 4, 2025 at 3:53 pm

The oxins usually dominate one side, but then fimming will give you 3 more, but much respect, I’m sure no one is topping beautiful landraces in the wild lol

    Top early fim later

  17. @bluntsavage7676 on September 4, 2025 at 4:09 pm

I top my plants all the time i get 4 branches going vertical about 5ft round and have tones of vertical branches get about 25 30 vertical branches all uniform and i don’t top some plants when in veg i start bending the top down then when other branches get too tall just start bending them down either way works me I like to see how far I can take a plant while it’s topped more fun for me that’s what I like to do if you can grow a plant and be happy with the outcome that’s all that matters experimenting is the fun part of growing

  18. @LyellAve on September 4, 2025 at 4:10 pm

Was this whole talk about topping during the flowering stage? You obviously dont top a plant thats in flower or transplant a plant thats in flower and it should only take once to learn that one. By the way, those are basic basics, smh. And the way he describes topping tells me hes an amateur with one claim to fame. Ie: Mimosa.

And if he was describing topping in the flower stage like it was a method he used musltiple times, thats amateur hour at its finest finest

  19. @oddjobs6377 on September 4, 2025 at 4:10 pm

I stopped topping and use buds ties for main and side. Bottom is as tall and taller than top

  22. @Z-Ack on September 4, 2025 at 4:12 pm

If you do what he said to all of your plants branches after atleast a 30 day veg. It will be a outdoor beast js 🫡

  27. @eternaldamnationmind on September 4, 2025 at 4:17 pm

always top at least once… how ever you grow is whatever… but always top. i never topped in the beginning, now i always top with proper pruning and the harvests have been huge in comparison. people are just lazy.

  28. @IbizaDeni on September 4, 2025 at 4:19 pm

watched this VID 4 months ago.. this technique was the worst in my whole lifetime… never ever again.. topping, lollipopping defoliation brings you the best nugs , nothing else H oMO

  29. @BlakeRodgers-p3e on September 4, 2025 at 4:19 pm

27 years growing here. I have done it all. What works for some dosent work for all. Fact is every time you cut your plant it slows it down cause the plant wants to repair and recover that area that’s just science not me. Try bending your plants without creasing them. That’s the original idea of a trellis system a grid pattern. You can top and super crop and possible get more nuggets but the nuggets won’t be as big as if you just pulled it over. Then those branches can grow up and become just about like the top they’re originally growing under.

  30. @RiverCityOutlaw on September 4, 2025 at 4:21 pm

Bigger nugs yes but I yield more topping. However the buds seem better quality not topping I’ll admit

  31. @mathewhex7045 on September 4, 2025 at 4:22 pm

This is some of the most braindead stuff ive heard… ive never had imbalance from topping in 21 years. Why are we completely ignoring inverse square rule, fungi (too thick buds promotes fungi, space efficiency, PAR at the leaf, oh and nevermind some strains and phenotypes prefer some methods over others.

    Is this AI slop maybe?

  32. @DennisSult-e4d on September 4, 2025 at 4:22 pm

Never topped a plant in my life, growing for 50 years…

  33. @Trancision on September 4, 2025 at 4:23 pm

Lol. I’ve tried it all. Topping and training are absolute necessities.

  34. @drawingdrafting4741 on September 4, 2025 at 4:23 pm

I mean c`mon who the one saying do this or dont do that. I cannot compare anything with anybody what comes to the final yield. But ok, You have 5 or 10 or more plants in your tent let`s say. Other person has perhaps alittle more in some other place, for example outdoors. And theres no place in earth where theres no moist in the air at nights, so the bigger the Bud, the more you have probems to maintain the perfect conditions, as the mold will grow in big buds. There`s so much different opinions about growing weed , thanks for Youtube we can all share eachother the experience. But I dont think any of us have the right to say do this and dont do that! SO dear WE THE GROWERS mark my words as there is also Us , the growers. We do Top , cut, water, feed etc/ and We harcest big time.

  35. @franky6365 on September 4, 2025 at 4:24 pm

Wegen der schimmel gefahr würde ich schon toppen.
Wenn man nicht toppt, bekommt man so einen riesigen headbud der oft schimmelt.

  36. @andyroo3022 on September 4, 2025 at 4:24 pm

Animals and bugs naturally chew on plant tips in the wild on any plant. The the plant responds, as nature intended and grows off two new shoots. So plants have evolved to react to topping, thats why we do it.

  37. @Paua4T on September 4, 2025 at 4:25 pm

Hate to say this but this “young” man is talking BS. I have grown two identical clones, one I left alone, the other I topped several times ( during veg). Got way more buds on the one I topped, a lot more.

  38. @AcrylicGoblin on September 4, 2025 at 4:25 pm

I tie my plants down. Just having a single big cola has only given me rot.

  39. @ethno8443 on September 4, 2025 at 4:25 pm

Topping very much depends on your setting and type of grow.
I recommend every home tent grow to top one time, and then do lst. Your yield will be higher.

  40. @danielsmith2470 on September 4, 2025 at 4:26 pm

Mother nature doesn’t top plants. Neither do i

  41. @CarlLaChouffe on September 4, 2025 at 4:27 pm

Well, corn and carrots been here for very long time and knew what they are doing, but until people started cultivating it they were low yield and literally uneatble.

  42. @davidanderson8469 on September 4, 2025 at 4:27 pm

If you have nosy neighbors topping is mandatory.

  43. @Brian-bw3uu on September 4, 2025 at 4:30 pm

A couple grows ago I did sea of green. Lots of little clones. Didn’t top any of them. It was great 😊

  44. @TommyKræmer-e4d on September 4, 2025 at 4:32 pm

Toping plants is grate unless you want you weed in the bottom of the plant to suck ass’s compart to the top ther get about 40 k more lumens !!!!!!!!!!!!

  45. @ginosalihbegovic7137 on September 4, 2025 at 4:32 pm

What ever works , works , why messing this up ? There are endless possibilities to do something

  46. @huckleberryfinn8795 on September 4, 2025 at 4:32 pm

He said at the end " I dont think I will ever top a plant again in flower" 😂 ya think buddy?! 😂😂

  47. @geraldblount4159 on September 4, 2025 at 4:34 pm

This guy doesn’t even know what he’s talking about and then you got other people saying he’s right and you people that just a learning don’t believe these guys cuz they don’t know what the f*** they’re talking about these guys don’t know s*** about growing weed

  48. @vic9307 on September 4, 2025 at 4:35 pm

    always top. always always always

  49. @MikeSlurry-t7p on September 4, 2025 at 4:36 pm

Imo he has a problem with topping because it adds time, hes a commercial grower and his views imo reflect that, nothing wrong with topping if done right, grew many strains and i always like a mix of both topped and none topped however i disagree with "dead zones" if you a getting dead zones then that simple just comes down to skill issue simple as that, make a strain all you want dont me your a top grower

  50. @RiverCityOutlaw on September 4, 2025 at 4:37 pm

And you should stop topping in enough time for plant to recover from the stress before you flower
