Top Cannabis Stocks Investors Are Watching | TDR Cannabis in 5

Building a cannabis stock portfolio in 2025 doesn’t have to feel complicated. In this episode of TDR Cannabis in Five, presented by Dutchie, with host Shadd Dales, we take a straightforward look at how investors are approaching this fast-changing sector. The goal isn’t hype—it’s about education, perspective, and understanding how to think about risk and opportunity.

Why now? Cannabis stocks have been reacting to major storylines—rumors of federal rescheduling under President Trump, potential adult-use legalization in Pennsylvania and Virginia, and international shifts in markets like Germany. All of this creates volatility, but also opens the door for investors who are positioned early.

We break it down into three buckets:
• Core holdings such as Curaleaf (TSX: CURA / OTC: CURLF), Trulieve (CSE: TRUL / OTC: TCNNF), Green Thumb Industries (CSE: GTII / OTC: GTBIF), Tilray (Nasdaq: TLRY), and Village Farms (Nasdaq: VFF).
• Growth plays like Verano (CSE: VRNO / OTC: VRNOF), Jushi Holdings (CSE: JUSH / OTC: JUSHF), and High Tide (TSX: HITI / Nasdaq: HITI).
• Speculative bets including Glass House Brands (OTC: GLASF) and other turnaround names.

For those who prefer simplicity, we also look at the MSOS ETF (NYSE: MSOS), which offers broad sector exposure in a single trade.

This episode is for educational and entertainment purposes only—always consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.

Green Thumb is the most diversified of the pot companies @ $2-2.5B CAD. And extremely volatile as a rule…but with few surprises. GT moves inside its own space..as does Trul on the TSX..

Hey I really appreciate the content you’ve been putting out lately and wanted to share something that might be worth your radar. Trump Media has been expanding into sectors like crypto and tech, and now there’s movement behind the scenes with Canopy Growth CGC as a possible target. Let’s see what happens with this cannabis rescheduling because Democrats have been divided on it again, and if momentum builds CGC is already positioned to benefit with its U.S. presence. What makes this even more compelling is Trump has already spoken with their CEO and he has a history of going against big Pharma which has cut into medical drug profits, so a move here would be one of the biggest political and business catalysts in the space. I’m thankful for all the content you’ve been putting out and I hope you cover this stock and topic in a future video.

  14. @Arquebusier89 on October 4, 2025 at 5:21 pm

Be careful of money losing companies, they will dilute your shares knowing you will still buy the stock

    See CGC

  15. @JosephAdams-y8q on October 4, 2025 at 5:22 pm

If you want to loose all your money then invest in cannabis stocks

  24. @Vsaggo on October 4, 2025 at 5:30 pm

One minute in to this video you mention Virginia maybe switching to adult use legalization. Seriously? "As of July 1, 2021, simple possession of marijuana and limited home cultivation is officially legal in Virginia. Those over 21 will be allowed to possess up to an ounce of marijuana and can also grow up to four plants per household." I am not watching past the one minute mark because your information is Sus right out of jump street. Please do your research in the future! # Sad.

  25. @VirginGalacticx100 on October 4, 2025 at 5:31 pm

    TLRY💪🏻🚀

  26. @leonardarmstrong1346 on October 4, 2025 at 5:33 pm

Please cover CGC. CGC is positioned well with its strong cannabis portfolio and expanding U.S. footprint, and speculation has grown that Trump Media could pursue a buyout given political ties and American market connections.

  27. @leeb4799 on October 4, 2025 at 5:33 pm

Don’t put ur money in there it’s all a trap

  28. @leftphilange69 on October 4, 2025 at 5:33 pm

what do we think of marimed? its market cap is 1/3 of its yearly revenue, lol. and i know people used to make this argument about AYR’s value proposition, but MRMD doesn’t seem to have the same collapse risk that AYR had, and it’s still growing revenue top and bottom. Just looking for laggard names that haven’t popped 2-4x already.

My cannabis portfolio is 50% MSOS leap options expiring 2027, 15% trulieve, 15% green thumb, 10% verano, and the last 10% spread across aurora, hiti, village farms, marimed, decibel, glass house. Considering adding some of the REITS and potentially YOLO etf.

though honestly, MSOS ETF seems pretty optimal by now given all the junk has gone bankrupt anyway. it basically tracks my portfolio already other than the fact I missed out on curaleaf.

  29. @davidmartin4722 on October 4, 2025 at 5:33 pm

All stocks are down 99.9% even with this current little run. Nothing will change until we get official news. MSOS runs then takes a crap to where it was. Let’s talk stocks when these jump to $20 and beyond.

The whole Not A "Finacial Advisor" disclaimer is so stupid. Even if they (FA) are wrong you don’t get your money back so Everyone should be a FA.

  40. @brocklambert3336 on October 4, 2025 at 5:50 pm

These big MSO’s ruin general cannabis quality, which is the main reason I will never support these stock holdings.
