It was $240 an ounce 10 years ago now you can get it for $25 an ounce, so its not being over priced.

Great idea, fund the roads with extortionate medical cannabis taxes. This sounds like an evangelical Christians idea. Way to make the black market thrive.

Growing my own weed is looking more and more appealing. I like the convenience of popping into a dispensary to buy weed, but I dont even like 95% of the strains out there. So this tax, if it doesnt get sued down, will likely be the nudge i needed to just grow my own. At least then I save money and get weed I actually like/want.

As far as I am concerned you can tax these corporations into nonexistence, i don’t care. you will never beat the private marijuana sector in this state just because people stopped growing Doesn’t mean they sold their equipment.

Don’t want to pay the tax, don’t smoke it, it’s recreational…….you don’t need it !

  30. @cheezeball6109 on October 20, 2025 at 6:03 pm

Marijuana tax should be 75% more. This is great. Consumers buying from black market in Michigan is funny, Michigan is dirt cheap. This is what happens when you can’t self regulate, the politicians will do it for you.

  31. @JC-es5un on October 20, 2025 at 6:06 pm

They didn’t spend the money like they were supposed to, now they are greedy and are going to destroy the marijuana industry in Michigan. People will grow their own and turn to the black market. This is the height of stupidity if implemented.

  33. @ronaldmiller941 on October 20, 2025 at 6:08 pm

24% when the state themselves collapsed the industry with no state minimum on pricing. Now they want to stick it to the consumer. Typical government crooks.

There’s like this white Eastern Europe and brown Indian group or like some other people that like all lived in north like Salem and garden city and like Ann Arbor and they like pretended they all were marijuana users and stood by it and did all these conspiracies and made all these changes since 2007 through it. All because we sold glass ir durable metal smoking pipes with tungsten mixed in with the steel or other metal you could buy a new tv but it was just for a larger screen it different casing around it it brand or feeling. TVs sucked like that. There was nothing to use money for besides more carbs you had to entirely create something new that no one had to use to sell anything to a Mc Donald. And it was for weed or tobacco to buy it but they wanted so many that a tv could be purchased with the amount of money made but it felt stupid buying it because it was just making twenty smoking pipes like I could have just made a tv without a computer in it to avoid this situation where they may ask how we have money. Smoking was all that went on besides hunting and fishing that no one really did till after they robbed something, probably every bank and Mc Donald’s. You guys have to poop wherever you are from or it doesn’t work it’s James Bryant’s way. Nope we’d have to get an hourly job instead of selling smoking pipes that eventually get sold in mass amounts or lead to bankruptcy (does bankruptcy mean robbed because resources were mined and stuff store on already private property or it would get sold directly by merchants, merchants are his concerts, and battle of the bands went on, everyone got invited or sold a ticket separately, the first time may be free cuz they’re checking it out, everyone was kind of lonely and forever single or dead, sexual slavery went on and same with submission they find mistresses instead of abusive weird parents), the fox theatre was like that) and get laid off when it slows down by not spending money anywhere else besides on drugs or food from the usually restaurant you work in. The company would buy the house and leave you sitting there in it and maybe working, it’d become land lords. Using marijuana just meant they were a threat to society or disease so they caved in to their demands about stuff it prevented them from attaching if it was certain weed, why would weed be any different than 2007 was it cuz it want dry herb being smoked outside. Or was it all those other cigarettes, the one store that sold them, smoking was quite important to certain people, working only at Mc Donald’s important, only Mc Donald’s work at Mc Donald’s . What about durable roads that aren’t constantly fixed yearly, or they pretend to, what about a bicycle trail through out the whole thing that isn’t secretive, or a motorcycle only freeway. After the roads are fixed sidewalks can all be re done or like road guard rails, no one replaced bridges.

  44. @SteveYeater-p3k on October 20, 2025 at 6:19 pm

I guess when ya get use to the money from throwing people in jail an confiscating there property from illegal marijuana ya jus can’t stop sucking that marijuana tit so ya tax it into ruin good job politicians greedy politicians an law enforcement
